Enhancing the Visitor Experience with Additional Access Methods, Instant WiFi Connectivity, and More Features for Volunteers
At Verkada, we’re continuing to redefine what a secure, seamless guest experience looks like. To improve the visitor experience, we’re excited to announce on-demand entry and QR code door access options and automatic guest WiFi connection, streamlining how guests enter a facility. We’ve also made security screens even more secure with front and back of ID scanning to verify identity documents. Finally, we’ve updated volunteer management with the ability to upload documents and set custom expiration controls. These enhancements work together to make Verkada Guest an efficient, user-friendly visitor management system that allows administrators to tailor their check-in process to their security policies.
Expanded On-Demand Credentialing with Entry Codes and QR Codes Building on our existing on-demand credentialing capabilities, Verkada Guest now offers user-specific entry codes and QR codes to streamline and secure visitor access. For frequent guests – such as contractors who visit regularly – Command users can assign visitors unique entry codes, allowing them access to designated doors during specific timeframes without needing a physical access badge or relying on internal staff to grant entry. entry codes can be easily deactivated from Command at any time, ensuring that access remains restricted to authorized individuals. Additionally, visitors can now gain entry using personalized QR codes. With a simple scan at any door equipped with a 3P QR reader with 1P AC, guests can seamlessly enter the areas to which they've been granted access. This flexible, secure solution gives organizations more control over who enters their spaces – without compromising convenience.

Seamless WiFi Integration with Cisco Meraki
Verkada Guest now works with Cisco Meraki to provide secure and hassle-free WiFi access for visitors. With this new integration, visitors can be automatically granted access to a designated guest WiFi network upon check-in using unique usernames and passwords. With built-in support for limited-time WiFi access, organizations can rest easy knowing that access will expire automatically without any need for manual oversight.
Enhanced Identity Document Verification We've strengthened our identity verification process by now supporting both front and back of ID card scanning. This added step ensures that the information provided on the front of the ID matches the information provided on the back of an ID, helping to validate the authenticity of the document.
Expanded Volunteer Management Our enhanced volunteer management functionality is designed to simplify visitor management and improve compliance at every step. Volunteers can now upload required documents, such as certifications and safety documents, directly into the platform – streamlining record-keeping and reducing administrative burden.
We've also enhanced our visitor management with expiration controls for individuals on an approved list. Organizations can now set customizable time periods after which visitor profiles are automatically deactivated, requiring them to re-register. This periodic renewal ensures guest profiles remain accurate and up-to-date.
With these new features, Verkada Guest continues to transform visitor management into a seamless and secure experience. Organizations can confidently manage visitor access at scale while reducing administrative overhead. Whether welcoming clients, managing contractors, or coordinating volunteers, Verkada Guest adapts to help keep security at the forefront.
