Speakers:

  • Chief Matthew Brenner a 23-year veteran of the East Greenwich Township Police Department, began his Law Enforcement career in 2001 graduating from the Gloucester County Police Academy and pursuing collegiate studies in Public Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Rising through the ranks, he has served as Patrol Officer, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, and current rank of Chief of Police since 2019. Notable roles include K9 handler, Drug Recognition Expert, Field Training Officer, and EMT. He has earned multiple awards, including a 2006 nomination for Gloucester County “Officer of the Year.” A certified instructor since 2006, he teaches police supervision, interview techniques, and proactive enforcement. Chief Brenner also currently holds several leadership positions, such as 4th Vice President with the NJ State Chiefs of Police Association Executive Board, Academy Advisory Board, County Awards Committee Chair and President of the Gloucester County Police Chiefs Association. He is a graduate of several prestigious FBI leadership programs to include being a recent graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session #290, and the Chief prioritizes community safety and continuous law enforcement education and training.

  • Carlos Ortiz is the Director of Asset Protection at SNIPES USA. Before joining Snipes, Carlos held several Leadership roles in the Asset Protection, Safety, and Risk space. Carlos has achieved success in people and profit protection through leading teams, driving partnerships, and implementing programs.

  • Stephen Blough Jr. is the Director of IT at Fred Beans Automotive Group, headquartered in Doylestown, PA. In this role, Stephen develops and implements information technology policies and procedures. He works to maintain best practices and minimize cybersecurity risks for about 2,000 employees and across the automotive group’s expanding operations, which today include 27 dealerships, collision and quick-service locations, rental services, and the largest dealer-owned parts distribution center in the country. Stephen also oversees the automotive group’s physical security, including all alarm systems, and building automations. He has a master’s degree in Information Assurance and also has Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) cybersecurity certifications.

  • Michael Gombos is an Enterprise Solutions Engineer at Verkada based out of Philadelphia, PA. He has spent almost two decades working in DevOps, Security, and IT. He was drawn to Verkada by the unparalleled pace of innovation.
