When a visitor scans their driver’s license at the iPad kiosk, Verkada Guest now uses biometric analysis to compare the photo on the physical ID against the live image of the visitor captured by the kiosk’s iPad camera. This helps verify that the person presenting the ID is the ID holder, reducing the risk of identity spoofing or unauthorized entry by individuals using stolen credentials. Additionally, for pre-registrations completed via mobile phone, a liveness check is performed.
