Volume overdrive is a new hardware feature to increase intercom speaker volume beyond the normal maximum. Similar to overclocking a computer, volume overdrive pushes a speaker beyond its factory limits by boosting the amplifier’s power output, resulting in louder audio with a slight trade-off in sound quality at higher levels.
