Today, we launch Verkada Transportation — extending our physical security platform to vehicles, such as buses, trains, and ferries. With this solution, organizations can remotely access footage at any time, manage fleet operations, and unify their building and vehicle security.

The hardware lineup includes three transportation cameras: a low-profile dome camera for vehicle interiors, a fisheye for panoramic coverage, and a wedge camera for vehicle exteriors. A new transportation gateway provides power and cloud connectivity to cameras, while relaying GPS location and vehicle telemetry. In Command, users can easily track vehicle locations, use transportation-specific investigation tools, monitor fleet health, and review driving performance.
