We’re making it even easier to access the doors you use most. Building on the Favorite Doors feature in the Verkada Pass app, iOS users can now add a Favorite Doors widget directly to their home screen, enabling instant door unlocks without ever opening the app. The new widget gives you quick, one-tap access to the doors you use most frequently—right from your home screen.
Introducing Attendance Analytics, a new dashboard in Verkada Command that transforms Access Control badge data into real-time workplace insights. Built for HR, facilities, and security teams, Attendance Analytics makes it easy to understand how office spaces are used—without manual exports or complex spreadsheets. The dashboard surfaces high-level trends across sites and departments over time, helping teams plan space and services more effectively. It also offers a detailed view of individual attendance, enabling HR to track in-office frequency and support policy or team-level planning. With built-in metrics, flexible filtering options, and visual dashboards, Attendance Analytics turns raw access control data into a powerful tool for smarter, more proactive workplace decision-making. SimonsVoss wireless locks now support whitelist-based unlocking. If a lock is disconnected from the hub, it can still grant access using a locally stored whitelist of approved user credentials. As long as the credential presented matches one stored on the lock itself, access will be granted—no connection required.
Our new Lockdowns and Scenarios API allows organizations to retrieve a list of available lockdowns and to activate and release them using third-party software. Lockdowns are presented as “scenarios” within the API. This functionality gives organizations the flexibility to respond to emergencies with the platforms they use daily. For more information, consult our Knowledge Base article and API Documentation page.
Access control customers can now use any font available on their local computer to customize the text on a user’s keycard before printing it.
We’ve enhanced our user search and filtering capabilities to generate more precise and accurate results. Admins can now filter across 20+ attributes spanning system roles, credential types, and key dates, while searching across name and email fields. They can combine several filters to create highly targeted user lists, which in turn can be used for specific actions (like adding users to access groups) or proactive management (like planning transitions for upcoming admin departures).

Getting started with Verkada Pass is now faster and easier for first-time users, thanks to a smoother onboarding experience. New users will receive a simple and informative email that introduces them to the app. From here, they can log in with a single email link – no password setting or confirmation required. Lastly, we’ve refined the permissions flow to clearly communicate the value of key settings and guide users toward informed setup choices. For example, they’ll understand that opting in to settings like ‘Set Location’ and ‘Allow Bluetooth’ will enable them to more easily unlock doors without having to launch the app or even take out their phone.
Admins can select multiple doors within or across sites and make changes to configurations all at once. Admins can use this capability to configure new doors after they have been installed, edit settings for an existing group of doors, and even delete configurations for a group of doors.

Organizations can now “favorite” doors on the Android version of the Verkada Pass app in addition to iOS. Doors marked as “favorite” will show at the top of the door list, regardless of the user’s proximity to that door. This makes it easy for users who frequently use the remote unlock feature of Pass app to quickly find the door they need without scrolling through a list.
