• Landon Turner is a seasoned Hospitality Professional and Building Manager with over 19 years of experience managing high-rise Hotels and Condominiums. Having spent nearly a decade at industry giants like Marriott International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts, he brings a wealth of expertise in general building operations and asset management. Mr. Turner's decision to join The Independent, locally known as the “Jenga Building,” was motivated by his outstanding track record in overseeing new construction, multi-million-dollar renovations, and grand openings. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management from the University of Texas Tech, along with certifications as a Six Sigma Greenbelt and a CMCA designation.

• Shad McGaha is the Chief Technology Officer at Belton ISD in Belton, Texas.  With over two decades of technology in education experience, his journey began as a desktop technician, evolving through network administration and into the Director of Technology role. Shad has served as CTO in two Texas school districts, including a rewarding tenure at Wichita Falls ISD. As an innovation enthusiast and cybersecurity advocate, he believes in the power of technology to enhance instruction while ensuring a safe digital environment.  Shad's focus extends beyond the tech, empowering educators, students, and parents to embrace innovation.

• Will DeWitt is the Director of Global Security at Verkada. Prior to joining Verkada, Will spent over a decade at Palantir, where he built multiple award-winning Industrial Security Programs. In 2017, he assumed the role of Corporate Director of Safety & Security for Ryman Hospitality Properties and Opry Entertainment Group which includes the Ryman Auditorium, Grand Ole Opry House, Austin City Limits (Block21), Category 10, five Ole Red locations, and WSM650 Radio. ASIS International member since 1984, obtaining CPP certification in 1997. Active member of International Association of Venue Managers and Event Safety Alliance. Always seeking innovative technologies to protect people and properties.

Richard has built and led international teams in technology for over 25 years including go to market and management roles at AWS, Palo Alto Networks, SAP, Oracle, Veritas, Symantec, and KPMG. He has also advised and sat on the board for startups in B2B software, services and clean tech sectors.

• Sarah McIntyre is the Facilities Lead at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Durham. She has been with the organization for over ten years, with a unique lens due to her growth and roles over the years (reception, admin, senior for Facilities and Property Management). Sarah was awarded the Making a Difference CEO Award in 2023, recognized for her interpersonal communications amongst employees and external partners. Sarah is a wellness advocate and self-proclaimed hype-girl of CMHA Durham, as she has helped run several CMHA Durham events, where she has MCed and even coordinated a flash mob!

• Lance Nichols is the Performance Manager for the Information Technology department at the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), Durham. He's been with the organization for over nine years, having initially been brought in as a contractor to recover and reorganize the Information Technology department after incidents with an MSP. He is recognized within the organization for his ability to translate concepts into ideas non-technical people can relate to. When not at work wrangling computers, he can be seen out and about in his Wrangler, enjoying off-road sports.

Prior to his time at Southwire, Joseph was a law enforcement officer and detective focusing primarily on drug, gang, and vice investigations for the University of Georgia, East Central Georgia Drug Task Force, and Sandy Springs police departments.

• Christopher Hughes is the Chief of Police and Dean of the School of Public Safety at Georgia Piedmont Technical College, where he has been instrumental in implementing a $1.5 million security plan with the assistance of Verkada. Prior to joining GPTC, he held a key role at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, focusing on campus safety and security operations. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Administration, demonstrating his commitment to advancing public safety through both academic and practical means. Christopher's leadership has significantly improved campus security at GPTC, ensuring a safer environment for students, faculty, and staff.

• Stoney Ellis is the Solutions Engineering Manager for Verkada's Enterprise Division in the Southeast. He has been with the company for 3.5 years and was one of the first five Enterprise SE's at the company. Prior to Verkada, he worked in the network security field.
