On June 8th, the following product and software updates will become available to all Verkada customers:
Cameras
CD32 Dome: Introducing the CD32, Verkada's latest addition to the Dome Series, a 3MP Dome Camera with People and Vehicle Analytics, available in indoor and outdoor versions, featuring up to 768 GB of onboard storage for up to 90 days of continuous footage retention
CM42 Mini: Introducing the CM42, the second-generation indoor Mini Dome camera with enhanced image quality, increased storage capacity, and advanced analytics performance, featuring the Sony IMX675 image sensor and Ambarella CV25S88 system on a chip (SOC).
New motion search experience: We now offer an enhanced motion search experience, with trajectory analysis, improved accuracy, reduced duplicate detections, and streamlined video replay in Command.
H.265 support across all browsers: Experience enhanced video quality without additional bandwidth with H.265-encoded video! H.265 is available for all Verkada camera models and all browsers. This feature will be progressively rolled out to all Verkada organizations.
Updates to history player: The history player in Command now features a condensed 10-minute default timeline view, improved video scrubbing with precise thumbnail matching, prominent motion event indicators, and enhanced visibility of frame jumping, playback speed adjustment, and zooming icons for faster and more accurate investigations.
Camera notes: We added a new "Notes" section under camera information, streamlining fleet administration by enabling admins to add purpose-specific notes and maintenance instructions.
Enterprise Bandwidth Manager: Introducing the Enterprise Bandwidth Manager (EBM), providing customers with control over Verkada camera bandwidth usage, enabling restriction and management of total bandwidth consumed at a site.
People of Interest page: The Profiles page has undergone a significant revamp and is now the People of Interest page, featuring an improved user interface where users can add tags, include notes for context, and create alerts directly from the page.
Access Control
ASSA ABLOY Aperio Wireless Lock Integration: Verkada access control now integrates with to the Aperio lineup of integrated door locks, electric strikes, deadlatch locks and cabinet locks.
Encrypted Credentials: A new access card SKU that offers AES128-bit encryption that adheres to the DesFire Ev3 global card security standard.
AC42 Door Controller: A new door controller that builds on the capabilities of the AC41 by adding support for Fire Alarm Interface (FAI) integrations and support for two request-to-exit devices.
Access Control Sub-sites: Organizations can enable Access Control sub-sites when adding a door to Verkada Command. This capability makes it easier for customers to manage large global deployments from a single cloud-based solution.
Intercom
Single Door Controller Support: The TD52 can now function as a single door controller that allows organizations to connect their AD33 door readers to the TD52 video intercom through the RS-485 port on the back of the device.
Talk Down Support: Users can now initiate talk down calls to any TD52 intercom using the Verkada Desk Station, Verkada Pass, or Verkada Command.
Air Quality Sensors
BACnet Integration: Verkada air quality sensors now integrate with the popular Building Management System (BMS) protocol BACnet.
New Vape Detection Algorithm: Verkada is pleased to annnounce a new vape detection algorithm that improves the accuracy of our vape detection system by 25%.
Vape Alert Sensitivity Toggles: A new sensitivity toggle on the sensor home page allows customers to increase or decrease the sensitivity of vape alerts.
Sensor Device Calibration Interface: Today, we are launching a calibration interface for SV sensors in Command. This interface allows customers to 1) calibrate their sensors to the required specifications and 2) easily download a certificate to verify compliance.
Alarms
Next-Generation Alarm Console: The unique BC82 Alarm Console gives on-site and remote users better visibility and control over what is happening in their facilities, thanks to an arm/disarm keypad, built-in camera, powerful speaker, 90dB siren, panic button, camera streaming, and more.
New Alarms Experience in Command: The redesigned Alarms experience in Command allows users to see all their alarm sites in a map view, provides an easier-to-navigate view of recent alarm activity within a site, and includes a new Report page that explains what happened during an alarm event, written out in plain English.
Workplace (Guest + Mailroom)
Introducing Verkada Workplace: We’re excited to announce that we are bundling our visitor management and mailroom management solutions into a single Verkada Workplace offering for no additional cost.
Verkada Guest Now Integrates with Clever: Guest now integrates with Clever, the leading provider of single sign-on for schools, which unlocks numerous new use cases, such as tardy and early dismissal tracking.
