In our November release, the following products and features will become available. Software updates will be released on November 19th unless otherwise noted.
Cameras
CR63-E International Availability: The CR63-E Remote Camera with LTE is now available in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Europe. Learn more.
Unified Profiles: Organization admins can now opt-in to automatically create people lists for Access Control users and visitors who have signed in using Guest. Learn more.
LPR Zone Analytics: The LPR zone page now displays bar charts showing daily occupancy, entries and exits, and median time in zone. Additionally, these analytics can be added to smart trends dashboards as widgets. Learn more.
Alarms
Arm and disarm with third-party access control: Organizations can now arm and disarm Verkada Alarms from third-party access control systems. This adds to the existing ways users can arm and disarm, including via Verkada Command, the BK22 Alarm Keypad, Verkada Access Control, and automated schedules and smart features.
Improvements to alarm reports: Alarm reports now include insights at the top that give organizations an overview of the health of their alarm sites, including total alarms, panic and duress events, and police dispatches. Users can filter by time period or specific site and see their most active sites.
Alarms in unified timeline: Users can now review an alarm in unified timeline to see all clips and sensor events for that alarm. The timeline follows alarm events and uses the same event response configuration.
Introducing alarm case notes: Users can now add notes to an individual alarm, such as “maintenance crew” or “test alarm,” to provide better context around what happened. These notes are intended for internal context only and are not viewed by monitoring agents.
BX21 Wireless Relay in New Alarms: The BX21 Wireless Relay is now supported in New Alarms, offering greater flexibility to deploy signaling devices wherever they’re needed and a lighter-weight alternative to a wired alarm panel. Use it to power third-party sirens, strobes, and other wired alarm signaling devices, and configure them as automated alarm responses to deter intruders or alert people nearby.
Access Control
Introducing FIPS 201 / FICAM: Verkada Access Control will support FIPS 201 capabilities. Federal organizations will be able to manage PIV, PIV-I, and CAC credentials directly in Command. Learn more.
Introducing the ACC-AC-EV3-MAG-1 EV3 Multi-Technology Magnetic Stripe Card: The ACC-AC-EV3-MAG-1 EV3 Multi-Technology Magnetic Stripe Card will combine encrypted and proximity technologies with a magnetic stripe into a single badge to support legacy infrastructure and non-door use cases, such as university student meal payments. Learn more.
Improvements to Access Control navigation in Command: Access Control will feature an updated navigation experience in Command, providing a more intuitive user experience. Learn more.
Backup LTE support on the AW33 Wireless Access Controller: The AW33 Wireless Access Controller will fully support LTE cellular backup. Learn more.
Intercom
Improvements to AI receivers and the global events page: Users can now filter for calls where AI receivers were used, search full AI receiver transcripts, and deliver location-specific responses for devices like front and side entrance intercoms. Admins can also track which team members were marked "away" during incoming calls to better monitor coverage. Learn more.
Improvements to tenant management: A centralized Multi-tenancy page in Command streamlines multi-tenant site administration, tenant creation, and license allocation. Learn more.
Command
Command User CSV import: Organizations can now manage Command users and groups in bulk using CSVs, allowing authorized users to create, update, and deactivate large sets of Command users.
Workplace
International ID scanning (in beta): Verkada Guest now supports international ID scanning globally, enabling customers to scan a range of non-US passports, driver’s licenses, and national identity documents during check-in. International ID scanning will be offered in open beta for all customers.
Camera-assisted sign-out: Guest can now automatically update visitors’ departure times using camera footage. This keeps visitor logs up to date and accurately reflects when visitors were on site – even if they forget to sign themselves out.
GovCloud user security screening: AWS GovCloud users can now run security screenings in Command orgs hosted in GovCloud.
Student ID scanning: Verkada Guest supports barcode scanning for physical student ID cards, enabling K-12 schools to automate student check-ins, check-outs, and early dismissals. Instead of manually searching for their name, students can hold the barcode on their school ID to the iPad camera to check in.
