Employee Referral Program Terms & Conditions

Verkada offers an employee referral program to leverage the breadth of connections of Verkada employees to break into new accounts. In doing so, Verkada is offering an incentive for employees to uncover and recommend contacts from their network that may benefit from utilizing our suite of products.

The following rules govern the program and referral payout eligibility and amount.

• Eligible employees:

  1. Any Verkada employee can submit a referral, however, only non-quota carrying employees are eligible for compensation (e.g., Sales, MDRs, AAEs, SEs, Channel, and any Verkada employee on a variable plan will be excluded from a referral payout). 

• All of the following must be true for a customer referral to be eligible for payout at time of referral submission:

  1. The account has $0 closed won bookings.

  2. The account has $0 in open pipeline.

  3. The Verkada employee has a meaningful relationship with the referral and would feel comfortable facilitating the introduction if asked.

  4. This contact could be a decision maker or be helpful in breaking into the account.

  5. If an opportunity is created on the referred account, the AE must confirm that the referral was a meaningful contact facilitating the deal.

• Payout validation flow:

  1. After a referral is submitted, the assigned AE will receive a signal and validate the referral based on the criteria above. 

  2. The Marketing Team will also review all signals to confirm validation criteria and will reach out to the employee to update them on the status of their submission.

  3. After an opportunity has been created, the DG team will confirm with the AE that the referral was a meaningful contact facilitating the deal.

• Payout terms:

  1. After the first deal is closed on the account ($5k+) from an eligible referral, the employee is eligible for payout. 

  2. The DG team will submit the employee bonus to the payroll team by the 20th of every month.

  3. Payouts will be bonuses on the last paycheck of the month and be taxed like all other W-2 income.

  4. Payout amount will be based on the following tiers for the cumulative bookings value on the account:

50k +	$2,000

• Expiration:

  1. To remain eligible, a registered referral must be closed within 365 days from the date of submission.

• Enforcement and disputes

  1. Employees that violate the employee referral program rules are subject to repercussions up to, and including, termination.
