Announcing New FIPS-Validated Bullet Cameras

Product News
8 May 2024

Today we’re excited to announce the availability of four new Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) validated Bullet cameras. The release of these FIPS-validated Bullets will allow federal customers and partners using both standard Command and Command on AWS GovCloud to leverage advanced capabilities like License Plate Recognition, and other features of our Bullet cameras like 4K resolution, 3x optical zoom, up to 50m of IR range for enhanced nighttime viewing and weather-resistant functionality.

The latest Bullets, the CB52-E-F, CB62-E-F, CB52-TE-F and CB62-TE-F, meet the FIPS 140-2 encryption standard, as validated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The FIPS Bullets are also TAA and FY2019 NDAA compliant.

Each of these new Bullets are FIPS-validated out-of-the-box. Now federal customers and partners using standard Command and Command on AWS GovCloud can simply plug in a FIPS-validated Bullet camera and claim it for their organization to begin leveraging FIPS Bullets for their security operations. These Bullets will then run FIPS encryption-in-transit and encryption-at-rest by default, with no additional setup needed.

The CB52-E-F and CB52-TE-F are available today and the CB62-E-F and CB62-TE-F will be available at the end of May. Want to learn more? Check out our FIPS documentation here.
