Today, we’re excited to announce the MT81 Cloud-Managed Security Trailer, a turnkey solution that brings the full power of Verkada into the field. Designed for rapid deployment, every trailer runs on solar, is cloud-managed, and supports up to six Verkada devices. The MT81 comes in two variants: the MT81-6KWH and MT81-13KWH, each with a different battery capacity to accommodate a range of power requirements.

Run AI analytics that speed up investigations, including AI-powered search, person/vehicle attribute filters, and reverse image search. And now with AI-powered unified timeline, Command can automatically construct the visual sequence of suspects across all cameras, from the building to the parking lot.
Capture clear close-ups with PTZ sentry mode, which automatically detects, zooms in, and follows people in view — unlocking the benefits of live monitoring without needing an operator. The clearer close-ups make AI-powered, face, and attribute searches even more reliable.
Identify vehicles using LPR, helping businesses quickly identify vehicles involved in break-ins, vandalism, or illegal dumping and share evidence with law enforcement.
Receive alerts for people and license plates of interest, increasing the probability of catching repeat offenders.

Plug-and-play for Verkada deployments
Until now, many organizations mounted Verkada devices on third-party trailers to protect remote or temporary locations. But these setups often came with challenges like custom mounting, complex power planning, and juggling multiple software platforms.
The MT81 removes that friction. Designed specifically for Verkada devices, every trailer comes with pre-wired, Verkada-compatible arm mounts, a solar power system, PoE switch, and a Verkada trailer controller. Organizations can simply plug in their cameras, provide the controller with an uplink (e.g. Verkada Gateway or StarLink), and start monitoring the trailer in Command.
With the MT81, deployment takes hours, not days. The platform is intuitive. Security is enterprise-grade, regardless of power or network availability. And every site and device is unified on a single dashboard. That’s the power of a Verkada security trailer.
Verkada-Validated Configurations (VVCs)
Customers and Verkada partners can connect various devices to the MT81 to meet their specific requirements. To help guide those designs across different geographies and use cases, we have developed a set of Verkada-validated configurations (VVCs). VVCs eliminate complex power calculations and uptime projections when purchasing a trailer.
Verkada has validated each configuration below and calculated the projected uptime for each geography and MT81 variant.
Pricing and Availability
The MT81 will initially be available in the U.S. only. The MT81-6KWH will be priced at $58,000, and the MT81-13KWH at $65,000. The Security Trailer Cloud License begins at $349 for one year. Customers can place orders beginning September 30, with shipping scheduled to begin on November 28.
