2026 State of Cloud Physical Security: Asia Edition

More than three quarters of organisations in Asia use or pilot AI (78%), and every market keeps a person in the loop.

Verkada and Dynata surveyed IT and physical security leaders in Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and Malaysia. As many organisations are testing AI as running it: 41% piloting, 37% actively using. What they hold back most is automated decision-making, where AI acts on its own — nearly half restrict it (49%).

The report covers each market in turn: which AI features it deploys and holds back, how far apart the four sit on proof (21% of organisations in South Korea can quantify what AI returns, against 51% in Malaysia), and what moves a pilot into use.
