February 2026 Product Updates

In our February release, the following products and features will become available. Software updates will be released on February 19th unless otherwise noted.

Cameras

  • Compound alerts: Combine multiple alert conditions to trigger events when motion and attribute criteria are met simultaneously, like an individual loitering near heavy machinery without personal protective equipment. Compound alerts will be available to all organizations on March 30, 2026. Learn more.

  • LPR zones: Use license plate data to monitor total occupancy, determine which vehicles are currently on site, and calculate dwell times across parking lots, drive-thrus, and other areas with frequent vehicle movements. LPR zones will be available to all organizations on March 30, 2026. Learn more.

  • Command Connector trajectories: Third-party cameras connected to Command Connector can now analyze the trajectories of people and vehicles, enabling advanced analytics like loitering detection, line crossing detection, and occupancy trends.   • Fighting detection (beta): Activity detection alerts can now deliver notifications when individuals are seen engaging in a physical altercation. Learn more.

  • Automatic incident reports for people falling: Opt in to automatically archive footage and create an incident report when an activity detection alert identifies a person falling. Learn more.

  • AI-powered incident summaries: Automatically generate descriptions for archives contained within an incident report in one click. Learn more.

  • Archive improvements: Users can now view and share archived footage more quickly within Command. Learn more.

  • Updated search model for AI-powered unified timeline: When face detection is enabled, unified timeline can now combine both facial analytics and appearance-based signals to deliver more accurate and comprehensive results. Learn more.

  • AI-powered unified timeline to incident report: Users can automatically convert a unified timeline to an incident report – including archiving all associated footage – with one click. Learn more.

  • Smart list alerts: Get notified when new individuals appear on camera or when unknown individuals frequently return to specific locations. Learn more.

  • Loud noise alerts (beta): Leverage the onboard microphone on select camera models to get notified when loud noises are detected. Learn more.

  • Command Connector audio: Audio is now supported on most third-party cameras connected to Command Connector using ONVIF Profile S. Learn more.

  • Access control smart tile improvements: The access control smart tile for the VX52 Viewing Station now supports additional event types and can be configured to display only select events. Learn more.

  • Smart trends on Command mobile app: View smart trends dashboards and configure individual widgets – like occupancy trends, queue trends, sales conversion trends, and more – from within the Command mobile app. Learn more.

  • Device stats dashboard on Command mobile app: View the device stats dashboard within the Command mobile app to monitor fleet health while on the go. Learn more.

  • Streaming improvements on Command mobile app: The Command mobile app now supports the same streaming format as the web version, decreasing loading times when viewing historical footage. Learn more.

  • AI-powered alert improvements: More effectively identify behavior of interest with updates designed to increase precision and reduce false positives. Learn more.

Alarms

  • AI-powered deterrence in public beta: Now in public beta, AI-powered deterrence lets organizations stop unwanted activity with human-like warnings that can incorporate scene context. Learn more.

  • New voices for AI-powered deterrence: Each deterrence event now uses a random voice to prevent repeat offenders from being accustomed to the same voice. Learn more.

  • Deterrence via intercoms: AI-powered deterrence is now supported on Verkada intercoms, offering an easier and more discreet installation at entrances and gates. Learn more.

  • Live camera feeds on keypads: Staff can pull up live feeds via the BK22 keypad to check the surroundings and confirm that it’s safe to exit. Learn more.

  • Two-way audio on keypads: During emergencies, SOC teams can initiate a direct line of communication to staff and quickly understand the on-ground situation. Learn more.

  • Keypad settings in Command: Admins can manage all BK22 keypad settings in Command without physically accessing each device. Learn more.

  • Alerts for sensor events: Organizations can now create alerts for all sensor events, such as Door Held Open, Motion Detected, and Water Leak Detected. Learn more.

  • Incident management integration: Admins can now save historical alarms to incident management in one click for easy archiving and sharing.

  • Webhooks for alarm events: With webhooks for Alarm Raised and Alarm Resolved events, organizations can integrate third party systems and workflows. Learn more.

  • Double badge feedback: When double badging to arm, users will be able to clearly see that the action was successful through direct feedback via the reader's LEDs.

Access Control

  • Improved Pass App user onboarding for Android: First-time users can now onboard more easily on Android devices for a frictionless unlock and app experience. Learn more.

  • The AF64 Access Station Pro is now open for early access requests: The AF64 Access Station Pro is now open for early access requests. Interested customers and partners can contact their sales representative to start an extended trial. Learn more.

  • New access control functionality in the Command mobile app: Command mobile app users can now enjoy a wider set of access control functionality right from their mobile phone, including the ability to change key settings on the fly and initiate roll calls. Learn more.

Intercom

  • Live translation: Verkada intercoms now support live translation, which offers two-way voice and text translation between visitors at the intercom and receivers answering the call. Learn more.

  • AI-powered voice directory: AI-powered voice directory for the TD63 intercom utilizes natural language processing to route calls based on spoken intent, without a physical receptionist or manual directory. Learn more.

  • Security relay accessory: Verkada’s security relay simplifies intercom installations by providing power to door locks and further protects doors by placing lock circuitry on the secure side of the entrance. Learn more.

  • Reader over network: Reader over network allows Verkada intercoms to transmit credential scans to access controllers over the existing local network, removing the need for a hardwired connection between the reader and the controller while simplifying the installation process. Learn more.

  • TD33 surface mount: The new TD33 surface mount facilitates installation in space-limited areas, like crowded mullions or solid masonry. Learn more.

Command

  • Improvements to audit logs: The audit log now features pre-filtered views for common use cases and allows admins to schedule automatic report downloads. Learn more.

  • Collaborative mode in Site Planner: Site Planner has been updated to support multiple stakeholders viewing and updating a floor plan simultaneously, accelerating the planning phase for large, complex sites. This feature will be available in late February. Learn more.

  • Mobile app in GovCloud: The Command mobile app now supports organizations hosted in our FedRAMP In Process (Moderate) environment, allowing Command organizations hosted in AWS GovCloud to manage their security operations on the go. Learn more.

  • Trailers available in mobile app: Verkada trailers are now available on the Command mobile app, letting users monitor power input and usage, troubleshoot issues, and power cycle devices — all from their phone. Learn more.

  • AI-powered voice search in mobile app: AI-powered voice search is now available on the Command mobile app, allowing users to search for footage using spoken natural language. Learn more.

  • Event-based webhooks: Push relevant data to third-party applications any time a particular event is detected, like an individual crossing a specific line after hours. Learn more.

Workplace

  • Biometric ID verification: Guest can now compare the image from a visitor’s driver’s license to their face captured by the iPad check-in kiosk. For pre-registrations completed via mobile phone, a liveness check is also performed. Learn more.

  • AF64 face unlock for visitors: Visitors can now utilize Verkada’s AF64 Access Station Pro to unlock authorized doors using only their face. This feature will be available when the AF64 is ready to ship later this year. Learn more.

  • API for approved lists: Organizations can now build custom automations to sync lists of approved individuals directly into Guest. This enables data from third-party systems, such as volunteer management or contractor apps, to update approved visitor lists. Learn more.

  • API for Guest events: Users can now build custom automations to sync third-party event and scheduling platforms into Guest. This enables users to automatically create, edit, and delete events from preferred systems without requiring redundant effort. Learn more.

  • Guest Pass at intercoms: Invited visitors can use their Guest Pass QR code to scan at a video-enabled Verkada intercom for seamless check-in and exterior door unlock. This lets them move directly into the lobby without needing assistance. Learn more.

  • Customizable badge designer: Verkada Guest now offers more customization for visitor badge designs. This supports organizations with strict branding or compliance mandates. Learn more.

  • PowerSchool integration out of beta: Schools can now write daily and class-level attendance data directly to PowerSchool. Learn more.

Air Quality Sensors

  • New sensors and people list integration: Organizations can now centrally view a list of sensor events associated with persons of interest in people lists. Learn more.

Connectivity

  • Security trailers in GovCloud: The MT81 Cloud-Managed Security Trailer is now supported in AWS GovCloud. Learn more.

  • Power cycling devices on trailers: Remotely power cycle devices connected to an MT81 security trailer to resolve issues without going on site. Learn more.

  • Low-power alerts for trailers: Get notified if a security trailer’s battery level drops below a preset threshold.

  • Geofence alerts: Receive an alert if a bus or security trailer with a GC31-E gateway leaves an approved area. Learn more.
