In our August release, the following products and features will become available to all Verkada customers. Updates will be released on August 15th.
Cameras
Command Connector: Customers can now connect their non-Verkada cameras to Command, where they can take advantage of benefits like AI-powered search. Command Connector helps organizations transition over time to our hybrid-cloud architecture, where they will be able to access even more advanced features on Verkada cameras like POI and LPOI detection and trajectory mapping. Learn more.
AI-powered search updates: Customers can now include “NOT,” “AND” and “OR” in their searches to structure even more detailed and precise investigations. Customers can also use the new “More like this” button on search results to identify similar, relevant footage. Learn more.
Extended cloud backup: We’ve simplified our extended cloud backup (ECB) offering by allowing customers to add additional cloud backup storage in 30-day increments (or, “packs”). Customers can now use a new self-claim portal to add and manage “packs” on their own terms. Learn more.
FIPS PTZ/Multisensor: We are introducing new FIPS-validated PTZ (CP52-E-F) and Multisensor (CH52-E-F) cameras. Our expanded FIPS-validated camera lineup offers a comprehensive suite of models and features with additional layers of security to support our government customers. Learn more.

Command
Australia data center: Customers can now choose to process and store their data, including image and video data, locally in our new Australia-based data center. Learn more.
Connectivity
Device power usage: View both live and historical power usage for devices connected to a cellular gateway.
Disconnected device history: See a 30-day history of devices that were recently connected to a gateway, and power cycle the associated PoE port on the gateway.
LTE data via PoE In port: Configure the GC31-E’s PoE input as a LAN port, reducing installation complexity when using a PoE switch with the gateway. Learn more.
VPN support: Set up a cellular gateway as a site-to-site IPsec VPN client, enabling use cases like RTSP and Fusus integration for connected cameras. Learn more.
Intercom
Dashboard: we created visualizations to allow admins to understand intercom fleet health and usage metrics at a glance. Learn more.
Events reporting: we’ve made it possible to create a list report of all events (like missed calls, admits, refused entries, etc.) and export them to CSV. Learn more.
More control over call flows: admins can designate receiver types for users, provision view-only and edit access for call flows, and also link and unlink calls flows to and from intercoms. Learn more.
Intercom alerts: users can now receive alerts for four intercom events: call triggered, call missed, door unlocked, and SIP error. Learn more.
