Introducing Industry-Specific AI-Powered Alerts: Simplifying Real-Time Security

Alerts are a powerful tool in Command, notifying you in real time if a specific vehicle shows up on your property, a person of interest is captured, a crowd forms, and more. And while setting up an alert is simple, organizations often find the most challenging part to be deciding on which events to get notified about in the first place.

This is why we’re excited to now offer tailored, industry-specific AI-powered alerts that help customers easily identify and set up the most relevant AI-powered camera alerts for their organization.

How Industry-Specific AI-Powered Alerts Work

When setting up a new AI-powered alert in Command, you will now be presented with a menu of recommended event types for your industry. For example, suggested events for a manufacturing company could include “person not wearing a hard hat” and “unauthorized vehicle near loading dock”. Healthcare events could include “healthcare worker without a mask” and “paramedics in uniform”. Each industry also suggests events that are relevant to most organizations, such as “person delivering a package”.  After selecting an event, you can edit the text to further customize what kind of event you will get alerted on.

Users are still able to create a fully custom AI-powered alert using natural language in the freeform text field. Now, suggested events will auto-populate as you type to provide additional ideas.

Once an event is selected or created, choose the relevant camera(s) that will detect these events, as well as the designated alert recipients and notification schedules.

Similar to our previous AI-powered alerts flow, you are able to preview anticipated results based on the selected event and camera(s). This allows you to understand if your query is likely to return the results you are looking for, as well as the estimated number of alerts you’ll receive each day. If needed, you can make the filter more precise or broader.

Fine-Tuned for Improved Accuracy

In addition to streamlining setup and helping organizations identify events to track, this curated list supports greater accuracy than other AI-powered alerts. We have fine-tuned the AI pipeline for these events, including setting a better default threshold, which helps balance reducing false positives without missing out on results you do want to see.

Industry-specific AI-powered alerts will be available to all customers that have cameras that support AI-powered alerts beginning October 9, 2025. Note you must opt-in to AI-powered alerts to use this feature.
