How it Works

Verkada’s CM42-S provides crisp 5MP resolution in a discreet form factor. Its separate body contains storage and processing for advanced edge-based analytics.
The CM42-S’s split body, long cable, and small form factor allows it to be easily installed in tight spaces, like ATMs, shelves, or retail countertops.
The CM42-S includes an HDMI output and microphone port–allowing customers to stream to a public viewing monitor in retail environments and supplement video coverage with audio for holistic monitoring.
Use the latest advancements in AI and computer vision to quickly identify persons of interest. Create AI-powered alerts using freeform text for suspicious individuals or for specific vehicles that appear in the camera’s field of view.

1All our cameras record in "adaptive quality", capturing both standard and high quality streams. Standard quality (SQ) video is stored up to the amount of retention specified by the customer. The amount of high quality video stored on the camera will depend on the amount of motion detected by the camera over time. To learn more, visit our website: https://docs.verkada.com/docs/adaptive-quality-recording-whitepaper.pdf

2Lens Distortion Correction (LDC) crops the sensor field of view to deliver a rectified, undistorted output image.

3Extended temperature range includes operating temperatures below -10°C / 14°F and assumes IR will be enabled.

4Frame rate can be adjusted by support.
