Expanding Our Integration Between Air Quality Sensors and Video Security
When organizations pair video footage with air quality sensor data, they unlock powerful insights and better understand who may be impacted by unusual readings or sensor events.
That’s why, from the start, we built a native integration between Video Security and Air Quality Sensors. With this integration, organizations can click into a sensor event and see associated footage – including a view of people detected before, during, or after an event – to speed up investigations.
We are excited today to take this integration a step further. Now, organizations can start with specific persons of interest and see a full history of sensor events associated with them.
Use Cases
This new feature is available for noise level, vape index, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, tamper, AQI, and the RESET Viral Index readings, with valuable applications for different environments:
Schools can use these insights to see if particular individuals are consistently associated with vape alerts. This helps them prioritize and support student health and safety without draining limited resources.
Manufacturing companies can monitor employees who may be frequently linked to compliance incidents, such as excessive noise or formaldehyde spills. This information allows them to prioritize and target training or intervention.
Organizations prone to vandalism can assess which individuals have been near tamper alerts to help mitigate future incidents.
How It Works
To get started, organizations with People Analytics enabled must turn on the Sensor People List feature in Command. From here, the next step is to mark specific individuals as a person of interest in Command and add them to a People List. They can do so by uploading a photo to Command, or by selecting a face from existing camera footage.
In the sensors tab, organizations can quickly see when these persons of interest appear near a sensor event.

Additionally, in the People Insights tab under Video Security, organizations can select a People List and filter by sensor reading and timeframe. From here, they’ll see an at-a-glance summary of the number of events the person may be associated with.

Organizations can also double-click on an individual to see all appearances from cameras connected to specific sensor events.

Together, this integrated view enables organizations to identify trends, prioritize interventions, and build safer environments.
Availability
This new integration will be available in Command for all organizations on February 19, 2026. To learn more, contact your Verkada sales representative at [email protected].
