Expanding Verkada’s Multisensor Camera Line: Introducing the CY53-E Two-Camera Multisensor
From securing busy hallway intersections in malls or transit hubs to covering large manufacturing floors and parking facilities, Verkada’s CH52-E four-camera multisensor has helped organizations protect a variety of spaces. Today’s introduction of the CY53-E two-camera multisensor serves as an ideal complement to the CH52-E: offering detailed, precise, and scalable bidirectional monitoring of hallways, entries and exits, warehouse aisles, or other corridors.
The CY53-E is built for efficient coverage. It includes two independent 5MP image sensors within the same sturdy metal housing to offer two viewing angles from one install point – requiring a single cable run and IP address. Its two feeds form an extensive field of view, which not only captures bidirectional traffic, but also activity directly beneath the install location – minimizing potential blindspots. It also includes an advanced onboard processor, capable of supporting a variety of AI-based analytics that reduce investigation times and generate proactive incident alerts.

While the CY53-E is ideal for monitoring long corridors and doorways, its two sensors can be positioned at a variety of angles and, with optical zoom in each sensor, organizations can also use it along with the CH52-E to monitor lobbies, courtyards, and wide entryways, among a variety of other locations.
Like Verkada’s other next-generation cameras, the CY53-E two-camera multisensor contains hardware components that optimize performance and streamline installation. The device features a three-LED light status indicator to debug connectivity issues, a built-in bubble level for precise installation, and a latch-based cable gland for simplified PoE threading and protection from inclement weather. The CY53-E also offers a built-in microphone to capture audio and includes alignment presets to guide optimal lens positioning for common viewing angles.
