Expanding Alerting Capabilities: Guest, New Alarms, and Helix Alerting Now Available

We are excited to announce that it is now possible to create alerts based on events from Verkada Guest, Alarms, and Helix, enhancing users' ability to monitor, assess, and respond to critical issues. These updates complement our recent improvements to on-the-go response capabilities, further solidifying our commitment to delivering a seamless and powerful security management experience that can be accessed from anywhere. 

Create Alerts Based on Guest Activity

It is now possible to set up alerts for when a guest signs in, a security screen result requires review, or a security screen requires manual ID entry (or couldn’t scan). Guest already supports notifications for these three events, but with this addition to the native alerts interface, users can now name specific recipients or recipient groups, create notifications related to specific locations, and even define a schedule for when alerts should be raised. This feature ensures that teams or individuals are always aware of who is on-site. 

Create Alerts Based on Alarm System Health

Our latest update enhances alarm device health monitoring with system-based alerts. Now, organizations can receive critical notifications about offline devices, wired sensor supervisory alerts, and panel battery events. These proactive notifications provide comprehensive awareness of a security system’s operational health, enabling effective maintenance across all locations. 

Create Alerts Based off of Helix Events 

Helix Alerting allows users to create alerts based on third-party data - supporting insights from retail transactions or actions on an assembly line. With Helix alerting, users can tie linked third party system events to footage captured with Verkada cameras, providing a broader picture of what occurred during a specific event.  Users receive notifications via SMS, email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams. For example, retail users can get an alert with a direct link to video footage when a transaction includes a high discount percentage—providing unparalleled insight and security.
