Deploy Verkada in Even More Areas With the New CR63-E Remote Camera
At Verkada, we're always looking for ways to make physical security more powerful and easier to use. Even when it comes to installation, our cameras require just a single PoE cable – no NVRs, DVRs, or servers. And for areas without WiFi, simply add a plug-and-play cellular gateway.
But what about those really challenging environments – where there's no WiFi and no power, or you just need something temporarily?
Introducing our new CR63-E Remote Camera with LTE.

Quick to deploy and easy to move, the CR63-E is designed to let organizations easily monitor areas that lack power and internet infrastructure — whether at the edge of a large parking lot, along a fenceline, or around various construction sites.
The CR63-E has a built-in battery and LTE modem, and supports various power supplies, including pole tap, passive PoE, and even solar. The camera provides 24/7 streaming and impeccable image quality with 4K resolution and optical zoom. Onboard CV7x Ambarella processors support powerful AI analytics, allowing you to choose between person and vehicle analytics or license plate recognition, and get real-time alerts on person of interest, license plate of interest, line crossing detections, and more.
Power and Internet Any Way You Want It
You have several options to power the CR63-E, in addition to the internal battery.
If continuous power is available, you can choose to hardwire the CR63-E via included DC and passive PoE adaptors. In case of intermittent power, the built-in battery can last up to 24 hours on its own.
The CR63-E can also be deployed in areas without any existing power infrastructure by adding a solar panel and one or more backup batteries. Depending on the expected sun exposure and weather events in the deployment area, you can purchase a 65W or 100W solar panel from Verkada, or bring your own. This is perfect to weather storms or last through the winter.*
*The CR63-E can operate from -40°C to 50°C (-40°F to 122°F)
When it comes to connectivity, the CR63-E has a built-in LTE modem. You can choose to use your own data plan or purchase a Verkada data plan that offers unlimited data, multi-carrier redundancy, and 24/7 support. Even when the CR63-E is deployed in areas where power is available, the built-in modem allows for simplified deployment without the need for a standalone cellular gateway.

Monitor Everything You Care About in One Unified Platform

The CR63-E allows you to monitor almost any area, even where running cable is expensive or even impossible.
For example, organizations can:
Protect perimeters and large parking lots by capturing license plates at every entrance and exit, and getting alerted about suspicious activity well before it reaches the building.
Safeguard construction sites with a camera that is quick to set up and can be easily moved to different locations.
Secure remote sites – from quarries to utility stations – to protect critical machinery, and use AI-powered analytics to help prevent accidents and speed up investigations.
Monitor traffic along remote roadways to discourage illegal activity and get alerted if a specific kind of vehicle or a license plate of interest is seen.
With the ability to deploy cameras in even the most challenging environments, Verkada now allows you to monitor your entire site – from the very edge of your perimeter through the building’s interior – in one unified platform.
Availability and Installation
The CR63-E starts at $3,499 MSRP. It will be available for pre-order in the United States on September 30, 2025 and will ship in November. See the datasheet for more information.
