EMEA continues to be one of Verkada’s fastest-moving regions, with organizations increasingly turning to cloud-based platforms to modernize physical security and operations. To build on this momentum, we’re pleased to welcome Mark Coates as Vice President of EMEA.
Mark will lead Verkada’s strategy, operations, and go-to-market execution across the region, building on the strong foundation already in place with our customers, partners, and teams.
Mark joins Verkada with nearly 30 years of experience in enterprise technology and security leadership. Most recently, he served as Vice President of EMEA at Gigamon, where he restructured the regional organization and drove considerable double-digit revenue growth, delivering three consecutive years of record performance. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at Digital Realty, DTEX Systems, Veritas Technologies, Good Technology, and Symantec, leading teams through periods of significant market and technology transformation.
“Verkada is modernizing physical security and building operations by replacing fragmented, on-premise systems with a single, AI-driven, cloud-based platform,” said Mark Coates, Vice President of EMEA at Verkada. “What stood out to me was the ambition of the team and the momentum they’ve already built. I’m excited to join at such a pivotal stage of growth to help organizations protect people and places in a rapidly evolving world.”
Mark succeeds Ardon Anderson, who helped build Verkada’s EMEA sales organization and deepen partner relationships across the region. Ardon will be relocating back to the United States to pursue a new leadership opportunity, and we’re grateful for his impact and leadership during a key period of growth.
Mark will be joining customers, partners, and industry leaders at VerkadaOne in London on March 19, 2026, where we’ll be discussing the latest trends in cloud-based physical security. If you’d like to attend, you can register for the event here.
We’re excited about what’s ahead for EMEA and look forward to continuing to support organizations across the region as they build safer, smarter communities.
