“When we moved offices, the question of changing solutions didn’t even come up,” said Yvan Monod, Cybersecurity Analyst at fabriq. “Verkada made it very easy for us to check all the boxes related to physical security and ISO 27001 compliance.”
A Proactive Approach to Physical Security
At fabriq, physical security is part of a broader cybersecurity and compliance strategy. As an ISO 27001-certified company, fabriq needed a reliable, easy-to-manage solution to secure its offices, IT room, and sensitive access points while reducing the operational burden on its security teams.

Today, fabriq uses Verkada cameras and alarms to monitor office entrances, detect activity in sensitive areas, and receive automatic alerts when unusual activity occurs outside of business hours.
Because these workflows are automated, physical security now requires very little day-to-day effort from the team.
“Physical security now takes up a very small part of my operational time,” added Monod. “I receive an email alert, I can immediately check the situation, and I can decide within seconds whether it’s a false positive or not.”

For fabriq’s security teams, choosing a physical security platform also meant meeting high standards for cybersecurity and data governance.
“We needed to make sure Verkada had strong safeguards in place for application security,” said Monod. “Data encryption and the fact that video is stored on encrypted memory cards on-site give us a significant level of control over our data.”
