For the 2026 Verkada State of Cloud Physical Security report, Verkada worked with Dynata to survey 2,741 IT and physical security leaders across 10 markets. 4 in 5 say they are already using or piloting AI in physical security — yet far fewer have caught up on the practices around it: 41% report governance that covers physical security, and 38% can quantify what AI returns.

This report explores which AI features teams have deployed, where budgets are heading, how the transition to cloud-managed security is progressing, and what separates the organizations already running AI from those still testing it.
