Product Updates

Updates to Guest for healthcare

Healthcare users can now deploy distinct check-in workflows for adults and minors, including those with custom questionnaires, integrated document signing, and automatic screen translation so patients can select their preferred language. To meet strict privacy needs, visitor badges will automatically adjust based on patient information; for example, allowing facilities to print portrait-style badges for minors that display only a first name and last initial. Finally, Face Match can be used to cross-reference walk-in visitors against internal deny lists even if they arrive without a government-issued ID. To learn more, read the full announcement.

Visitor activity reports

Organizations can now generate visitor activity reports, streamlining how they track volunteer hours, monitor visitor presence, and maintain facility compliance. Logs can be filtered and sorted by contact name, guest type, site, date, and time frame. Finally, logs can be exported as CSVs.

Workplace5/7/2026
Global approved lists

Organizations can now create and maintain lists of approved volunteers, contractors, or VIPs that apply globally across all sites within their organization. This centralized approach eliminates the need to duplicate approved lists for individual locations, streamlining visitor management for multi-site deployments like school districts and professional services.

Signed document fields

Verkada Guest now makes it easier to meet strict compliance and legal requirements by allowing organizations to collect visitor-inputted information directly on PDF documents during check-in. Administrators can upload existing PDF documents, then drag and drop visitor-inputted fields onto the page. Currently, the supported fields are signatures, dates, visitor contact information, host and site names, the purpose of the visit, and custom multiple-choice or open-response questions.

Custom roles for Workplace users

Administrators can now bundle specific permissions into new custom roles—such as security officer, HR, or volunteer coordinator. This customization allows organizations to delegate visitor management tasks without over-permissioning staff.

Workplace5/7/2026
Receptionist-assisted check-in

The receptionist-assisted check-in feature allows front desk staff to initiate the visitor check-in process from their computer and push the remaining steps to a lobby iPad. This workflow enables receptionists to manually select the guest type, while visitors independently complete tasks like signing NDAs. It also provides staff with the flexibility to handle exceptions, such as bypassing standard ID scans for visitors who do not have a government ID. This update provides organizations with an alternative to fully self-serve kiosks.

Customizable badge designer

The badge designer has been upgraded with an advanced design mode that gives admins greater control over badge layouts. With an all-new drag-and-drop interface, users can add, remove, and resize elements, adjust borders and orientation, and apply background images. The advanced designer mode also supports conditional logic, allowing badges to display different elements based on guest type, clearance level, or other attributes.

AF64 Face Unlock for visitors

Visitors can now enjoy a frictionless, hands-free entry experience by opting into AF64 Face Unlock during check-in. Once enrolled, visitors can unlock authorized doors equipped with the new AF64 Access Station Pro. This feature will be available when the AF64 is ready to ship later this year.

Workplace2/12/2026
Public API for Guest events

This new API enables organizations to develop their own custom automations to create, edit, and delete Guest events from external event management platforms. For example, an event created in a third-party ticketing system or contractor management application can now automatically generate an event in Verkada Guest.

Workplace2/12/2026
Guest Pass at intercoms

Invited visitors can now use their Guest Pass QR code to unlock external doors that use Verkada intercoms. When a visitor arrives, they can simply scan their QR code on a video-enabled Verkada intercom to check in and unlock the external door. This creates a seamless flow whereby invited visitors can move from the street, through the exterior perimeter, and into the lobby for check-in without needing to wait for a receiver to remotely unlock the door.
