Product Updates
Command now has a dedicated landing page for organizations to track user and group roles and permissions from a single page. Users can assign roles to users from the page, and also see what permissions each user has at a glance. To learn more, read the full announcement.
Administrators can now use AI to filter audit logs using natural language prompts rather than manually configuring complex search parameters. By simply typing conversational queries like "show me who deleted users last month," teams can instantly find specific logs and investigate quickly. This feature will be available at the end of May.
Administrators can now configure custom Video Security and Workplace permissions at the site level. This functionality ensures that Command users are given only the permissions they need to do their jobs. Creating a new custom role is easy – organizations simply create the new role, then adjust the toggles to fit the role’s precise permission set. For each custom role, admins can see the associated permissions, users with the role, and groups with the role. This feature will be available in Command at the end of May. To learn more, read the full announcement.
Site Planner can now support multiple users viewing and updating a floor plan simultaneously, accelerating the planning phase for large, complex sites. This feature will be available in April.
The Command mobile app now supports organizations hosted in our FedRAMP In Process (Moderate) environment, allowing Command organizations hosted in AWS GovCloud to manage their security operations on the go, from remotely monitoring live feeds, receiving alerts, and managing devices remotely.
Admins can now create and save filters in the audit log—like offline devices, users added or removed, or camera configuration changes—and schedule them to be automatically generated and emailed on a recurring cadence (daily, weekly, or monthly). This enables teams to cover both routine compliance and urgent investigations without having to manually investigate the audit logs. By automating these reports, organizations can maintain continuous oversight, quickly surface suspicious activity, and stay compliant without relying on ad hoc manual reviews.
AI-powered voice search is now available on the Command mobile app, allowing users to search for footage using spoken natural language. This makes searching for footage on the go even more convenient and accessible to users. Learn more.
Verkada trailers are now available on the Command mobile app. Users can optimize their trailer deployment’s battery usage by remotely toggling devices on and off, ensuring that assets in isolated locations remain operational for longer without requiring a physical site visit.
Command now offers an integration with Google Workspace, enabling administrators to provision users and user attributes, such as department and contact information, directly from their Google Workspace domain into Command. Learn more.
AI-powered search functionality is now available on the Command mobile app, bringing powerful search capabilities to mobile devices. Users can now search for footage using queries such as “person wearing red shirt” and find related footage in their Command organization. Image search is also available, allowing users to upload or capture a photo of a person or vehicle and find all instances of that object in video security footage within Command, making it easier than ever to find specific footage while on the go. To learn more, read the full announcement.
