Verkada Guest’s new PowerSchool plugin enables automated two-way data sync, allowing Guest to push tardy check-ins directly to PowerSchool in real-time. This eliminates double-entry for staff while ensuring attendance records remain consistently accurate and up-to-date across both systems.
Verkada Guest is now available in the natively integrated Alerts section of Command for both web and mobile users. Users can now define alert triggers, identify recipients, and set alerting schedules for events such as a guest sign-in, a security screen match requiring validation, or if an ID needs to be manually added to the visitor’s profile. Learn More.
Visitors can now upload critical documents, such as certifications and safety documents, directly onto Verkada Guest – streamlining record-keeping and reducing administrative burden. We've also introduced expiration controls for individuals on an approved list. Now, organizations can set customizable time periods after which visitor profiles are automatically deactivated, requiring them to re-register. This periodic renewal ensures guest profiles remain accurate and up-to-date. Learn more.
This update improves our identity verification process by supporting scanning of both the front as well as back of US-issued ID cards. This added step ensures that the information provided on the front of the ID matches the information provided on the back of the ID, helping users validate the authenticity of the document. As a result, organizations benefit from a more secure and trustworthy environment, reinforcing safety and compliance standards. Learn more.
Verkada Guest now works with Cisco Meraki to provide secure and hassle-free WiFi access for visitors. With this new integration, visitors can be automatically granted access to a designated guest WiFi network upon check-in using unique usernames and passwords. With built-in support for limited-time WiFi access, organizations can automatically expire WiFi access without any need for manual oversight. Learn more.
Verkada Guest now offers user-specific entry codes and QR codes to streamline and secure visitor access. These two new on-demand access capabilities can grant visitors access to designated doors during specific time frames without needing a physical access badge. Both methods of access can be deactivated from Command at any time. Learn more.
Verkada Guest now supports issuing on-demand visitor access credentials. Visitors can receive digital or physical keycards, with permissions customized to their specific needs. The credentialing process is intuitive and quick, reducing administrative overhead and allowing visitors the independence to access certain areas. Each credential type is linked to the individual visitor, ensuring transparency over site access at all times.
