Verkada Command is our web-based management platform that enables customers to easily monitor events in real time, investigate incidents quickly, and manage an unlimited number of users, devices and sites. As we rapidly expand our product offerings and support organizations with increasing scale, we want to ensure that Command continues to deliver a best-in-class user experience.

Add new devices in one click
We have made significant improvements to the device install experience in Command, allowing users to get new devices online faster.
Now, Command users can add devices to their organization without having to first assign a site and location or configure the device upfront. The new devices will be added to an “Unassigned Devices”’ list on the Devices page, where users can immediately check if a device is online and see live data from cameras and sensors. When ready, users can easily set up the unassigned devices individually or in bulk, including assigning a site/location and configuring device settings.
Easily manage sites at scale
We’ve revamped the Sites page in Command to provide admins with more information and control at their fingertips, from site configuration to user permissioning. In addition to improved usability, the Sites page will now allow admins to star favorite sites for easy access, manage cross-product permissions from one place, and quickly navigate to a view of all devices contained within a site. Admins can also view and manage whether a site is an Access, Guest or Mailroom site.
Configure cross-product alerts in one place
Customers can now set up alerts for cameras, alarms, sensors and access control from the Alerts page in Command.
The consolidation of these products' notifications on the Alerts page provides a simplified and more consistent experience, allowing users to easily see a unified view of all alerts that have been configured across sites, devices and events, rather than having to navigate to each product's page in Command.
We’ve redesigned the cameras homepage to improve navigation, especially for organizations with a large number of sites. Users can now star their favorite sites for easy access, collapse sites in the site selector, and see camera counts at each site.
