The ACC-AC-EV3-MT-1 EV3 Multi-Technology Card seamlessly integrates encrypted and proximity technologies into a single badge. This hybrid approach is ideal for organizations that rely on keycards for a mix of door and non-door applications, like authenticating at printers, vending machines, and more. By consolidating these technologies, teams can modernize their security without a costly overhaul of every peripheral reader or the administrative burden of managing two separate keycards. Furthermore, these cards allow enterprise organizations to gradually phase in new door readers across their footprint instead of transitioning to new keycards and door readers all at once. Verkada wireless locks can now locally store a static list of backup credentials for uninterrupted access if a lock loses connectivity with its controller. When a lock is disconnected, it uses this local cache to authenticate authorized individuals, preventing lockouts and maintaining business continuity. This feature will be available in Command on May 21st.
We have introduced new directory-scoped permissions to help organizations delegate badge management more effectively. This new structure provides granular control based on certain user and admin roles. Access system admins can create and modify badge templates for the entire organization. Access user admins can create and modify badge templates within a specific directory, like a regional office or department. Additionally, access user managers and access credential managers can view and print badge templates for their assigned directory. This feature will be available in Command on May 21st.
Organizations can now customize the polling frequency for wireless locks to better suit their environment. Shorter intervals reduce latency for commands (e.g. remote unlocks, lockdowns), while longer intervals help extend battery life. This flexibility allows administrators to strike the ideal balance between performance and power consumption. This feature will be available in Command on May 21st.
Schools and workplaces can now create a broader range of emergency response scenarios in Command. These configurations are designed to align with the “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP), allowing organizations to program specific actions for Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter events. In addition to defining which doors can lock during emergencies, organizations can now define which doors should unlock as well. These tools help schools and workplaces transition from general lockdowns to protocol-specific responses for threats ranging from severe weather to active shooters. The AF64 is an all-in-one access device, featuring a multi-technology reader, a 5MP wide-angle security camera, a single-door controller, and an interactive touchscreen. We have introduced a new Visitor Access page to enable admins and users to provision, manage, and audit temporary access to doors in Access Control. With this new interface, admins can create visit access templates that distinguish access levels for different visitor types (e.g. contractors vs delivery personnel). They can easily create visits to issue specific individuals temporary access to their property. Lastly, users and admins can easily view visitor profiles and see a comprehensive log of all visits easily in one place. This feature will be available in Command on May 21st.
Organizations can now receive alerts when a lock is disconnected from its wireless hub, or the wireless hub is disconnected from its controller. Alongside offline alerts for locks and controllers, these new alerts help organizations minimize disruptions and maximize uptime. This feature will be available in Command on May 21st.

Organizations can leverage a new webhook to automatically sync credential changes in Command with other external management systems. This helps ensure that when a badge is updated or revoked, the change is instantly reflected across the tech stack.
